The Making of Clean Laundry

Laundry….
A word that sparks different reactions for different people.
It’s definitely not one of my favorite household chores although its better when at least the folding is done with someone else. I’m a social creature so doing life by myself is not one of my more favorite tasks. Being the mom of 3 kids brings on a bunch of laundry. Our washer and dryer do a lot of laundry a week just for the 3 adults that live here full time. My kids are here every other week and that means for even more laundry on those weeks.

I know I’m a week late but here goes.
Father’s Day.
A day that this year holds bittersweet memories. I haven’t been on Facebook much for quite some time, so many of you may not have realized that we lost my dad to cancer back in November. My dad was my rock. He walked with me through some of the toughest, darkest days over the last few years. He celebrated with me as I found my health and my joy again and found happiness.
Garden soil testing

Why soil test?
A soil test can help a plant grower determine whether an area of ground has enough available nutrients for good plant growth. A soil test can also help growers determine the potential for sodium (salinity), pH, organic matter level and texture effects on plant growth.
Jeep Time

Last fall I went with some friends off roading in Gorges State Park on a 17 mile jeep trail with a couple of trucks. Since that time, one of my friends and I have been wanting more off road capable vehicles. I told Ericka my desire to some day have a Jeep or some other vehicle that I could take off roading. Ericka told me she loved off roading as well and would love for me to have an off road vehicle. Ericka and I started dating later and got married and we have continued to look for an off road vehicle. We decided that once we found one we would sell her two wheel drive Ford Expedition and the jeep would be hers to drive. The kids also love off roading and we have done softroading in my Subaru Forester, but it does have it's limitations, one being the CV Transmission, one of Subaru's flaws. Ericka and I have showed the kids the kind of Jeep that we want and since she and the kids are big car nuts they are always spotting Jeeps and other older muscle cars that they like.
